April 8, 2010- Teams may begin arriving (with additional fee for extra night's camping)

April 9, 2010- Teams arrive, team meeting at 5pm, welcome dinner at 6pm. MEAT INSPECTIONS BEGIN AT 3PM. Please be at your site by this time.

 
April 10, 2010--- Judges Meeting at 9:30. Gates open to the general public at 10:00. Music on the main stage at 10 by Karen Searcy (Christian/ Gospel music). Teams to prepare People's Choice Butts  for pick up at 10:45-11:15 am. Teams to do first turn in of Chicken to judges at 11:00 am.  Tallahassee band, "Cheap and Easy" to entertain on the main stage at 10:45- 11:45

Children's play area is open from 10 am- 6pm. Free play on bouncers, slides, obstacle course and the interactive jousting arena. 

The Sysco People's Choice tasting tent to open at 11:30. Come sample BBQ Sliders from various teams in the competition. Vote for your favorites! BBQ Sliders to be served until they're gone... eating sliders is included with your admission ticket!

At 11:45, Heaven's Island steel drum band will perform their unique style of music and host a limbo contest for the kids. 

Throughout the day, children and curious onlookers can watch the Reptile Discovery Show, presented by reptile expert and conservationist, Bruce Shwedick. It will be presented several times throughout the day and feature some cool critters, including A Yellow-footed tortoise from the Amazon rainforest, A Rhinoceros Iguana from Hispaniola, a nile crocodile, an anaconda, a reticulated python and "Banana Girl," a 16 foot albino python from Thailand. There is no additional cost to enjoy this educational and interesting program. 

At noon, teams will turn in their ribs to the judges building, ,and at 1:00 PM will turn in their pork butts for scoring. The final turn-in is at 2:00 pm with beef brisket.

Local favorite Rick Craven will take the main stage at 12:30, performing classic and acoustic rock.

Tennessee's Hope Cassity, an acoustic country and indie singer will be on the main stage at 1:30 and perform a set from her new album. 

The high-energy rock band, West Main Rush will be on stage at 2:30 and perform two sets. This band is very popular among young and old alike, playing some of your favorite rock.

During this time, judges will be tallying their score sheets, with the FBA reps calculating the winners and prize payouts. 

At 4:00 pm, Joshua Lowe will play his unique blend of music until the team awards are given out. Thousands of dollars in prize money will be given away, as well as plaques, trophies and awards.
